There is something special about the ambiance of this hotel. The delicate soft lighting and the warm friendly faces of the staff on arrival after your travel or business journey makes the Mövenpick The Hague Hotel a very inviting and luxurious place to rest your head.
I felt the welcome hospitality and professionalism within seconds of walking through the entrance doors.
The rooms at this 4 star property are surprisingly spacious and I felt comforted as soon as I stepped one foot inside my room as if I was about to collapse on my lounge room at home. The hotel is 100% smoke free.
With recently renovated rooms, the decor is modern and pristine. In total, there are 125 well lit rooms here and all have private facilities with a large glorious bath rarely available normally so you can happily soak your cares away. There was a separate vanity area in my room with a make up mirror which made me feel like I was rich and famous for the few days of my stay.
The deluxe complimentary toiletries available and replenished daily added further touches of decadence to my Mövenpick experience.
Going to sleep was a pleasure here, as the freshly made up sizable beds were covered with crisp white linens and the softest, heavenly pillows I’ve ever slept on.
If you love to eat, drink and be merry just like me, then you have come to the right place! The Ciao & Mie Restaurant adjacent to the reception area, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a different specialty on their menus every single month. The buffet breakfast was an exciting way to start my day with lots of pastries, juices, cereals and Dutch delicacies to choose from. The deliciously brewed coffee poured into my cup every morning was the smoothest I’ve tasted.
But, if it’s a soothing, relaxing drink you are yearning for after a stressful business meeting or a hard, exhausting day of sightseeing, then the hotel lounge bar next to the restaurant is where you should hangout. The list of wines available are extensive and varied and there are several light snacks to accompany them.
However, if you prefer the privacy and seclusion of your room, the fully stocked items in minibar will satisfy your cravings as you daydream while looking out toward the horizon of the large, wide windows in your room.
Once you’ve extravagantly over indulged, you may be inclined to work it all off! If so, there is a fitness center located in a separate premise to the hotel that you can utilize as part of your accommodation package. If you prefer to explore the surrounding area further, I’d strongly recommend hiring the bicycles on offer.
Perfectly located at historical Voorburg and 4 minutes by train to The Hague city center. Public transport for buses and trains is less than a minutes walk from the hotel foyer. From here, interesting ‘not to be missed’ destinations such as the very striking city of Delft and the charismatic Scheveningen are both approximately 20 minutes away.
The Herenstraat (Gentleman’s Road) at Voorburg is a few minutes walk away and is abundantly filled with many traditional shops, boutiques, cafés, restaurants and a supermarket.
Whether it’s for business or pleasure, The Mövenpick Hotel, The Hague is truly an exceptional choice for location, amenities and commendable service.
