Last December we took our very first cruise. We loved it! My favorite island out of the 10 we visited was Curacao.
I loved the colors of the buildings. I loved the crystal clear waters. I loved everything!
Here are some of my favorite shots from our day at Curacao.
Have you been to Curacao or any of the other Caribbean islands? What were your thoughts?

Hey Jenna,
Glad you enjoyed the photos 🙂 Its one of my favorite places we have been to so far! So beautiful and colorful… I hope we can go back soon too!
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Ok. I NEED to go here. Like now. Can the next two or three years go by super duper fast?
Side note- We are supposed to leave in 3 years, but I don’t think I’ll make it that long. 2 years would be much better for my sanity.

I know right! Its SO beautiful! In regards to your leaving date – Having a date set is great! We did that too, it was just over 12 months when I started counting down. Seeing the days in the calendar with big red crosses through them was SO liberating.. With every cross, we were one day closer! And you will be surprised how fast the time will pass 🙂

We also visited Curacao on a cruise. Once we made port, we rented a cab and went out to the north end of the island near the airport. We’d heard about a cave complex. It was pretty nice and something totally different. Love your photos!

It is said that a picture makes more than a 1000 words. I think that’s true. You managed to capture the essence of Curacao from the very first day. The island has everything a guest would want, from tourist attractions to an intense night life. CuracaoRentalHomes awaits everyone with an open heart!
We went to Curacao for the first time a few years ago and loved it as well, especially historic Willemstad. Having lunch by the canal and watching the bridge open and close was quite relaxing.
It’s one of our favorite Caribbean Islands. Willemstad is probably the most beautiful town in the Caribbean 🙂

The place is beautiful. I wonder why the buildings in Curacao are so colorful. Are there any special reasons? Hmmm
Caribbean is famous for it’s color. Not just in the buildings, but everywhere. Their celebrations are always full of color.

My boyfriend and I heard that there was a mayor (not sure of role) that said he hated seeing the white buildings and wanted to see more color along the water. He also owned an interest in a paint company. Not sure if this is an old wive’s tale, but it is a fun explanation all the same. 🙂
My boyfriend and I went here earlier this year and had a blast. We rented a car and drove around the island and found excellent spots along the way. We have many picture that look similar to this as it is hard to find a part of the island that does not capture itself in your camera lens 😉 Cheers to future travels!
