As we walked into the open-air lobby of Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk, I knew we were going to be impressed with this hotel. The décor was a perfect fit for the location, and immediately it felt like we were on vacation. The staff were so friendly, and as they walked past they were quick with an aloha and a smile.
Upon checking in, we received a tropical drink of some sort (I don’t know what it was, but it was delicious!) and were given information on where and how to find a few key points in the area. We weren’t rushed off as it can so often feel like in a busy hotel.
When we arrived on our floor, we opened our room door to a large 2-bedroom suite. Embassy Suites is the only all-suite nationally branded hotel in all of Hawaii. It was nice to have so much space to avoid that claustrophobic feeling one can get in a small hotel room.
It was a warm day outside, so they had the air conditioning turned on so we arrived to a lovely cool room.
We had a kitchenette, which was a nice surprise and meant we could prepare some of our own meals. That is something we miss while staying in so many hotels—a kitchen to cook our own meals. And while we didn’t have an oven or stove, the microwave, fridge, and coffee facilities were a great addition.
The king-size bed was super comfortable which made it hard to get up in the mornings! We don’t watch a lot of television on the road, but we spoiled ourselves with a little bit of TV, making the most of the flat screen right in front of the bed.
We had a gorgeous view of the ocean, the hotel’s pool, and outdoor dining area below. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the sun go down. Not a bad way to end the day.
Every morning all guests are treated to a buffet breakfast. There is a great selection of hot and cold dishes, including made-to-order omelets. The seating is semi outdoor, right next to the pool.
The pool area was one of my favorite places to relax. There are plenty of lounge chairs available for the sun worshipers, a large pool, a kiddie pool, and a whirlpool spa. If you prefer the beach, the famous Waikiki Beach is only a few steps away.
Every evening is party time at Embassy Suites, and you will find nightly entertainment downstairs—live music with a serving of complimentary drinks and canapés. Your hips will move involuntarily to the beautiful Hawaiian music!
Embassy Suites is located right in the heart of Waikiki Beach and everything you need is within walking distance. It was nice to have so many restaurant choices close by, although that did often come with the challenge of deciding where to eat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Waikiki. The service, the room, the facilities, and the location were all of the highest standards, and no doubt any guest staying would be as impressed as we were.
