As the taxi pulls up to the Mövenpick Hotel in Neuilly Paris, its obvious we are in a fancy part of town. All the buildings are beautiful and the streets are decorated with gorgeous trees. Yes, I know that sounds a lot like everywhere in Paris but there was something very special about this area. I found out it is considered the richest area in France – The inner princess immediately feels right at home.

As we walked into the lobby we had the same welcoming feeling as we did in the Mövenpick Amsterdam Hotel. Not just by the staff, who were once again fabulous, but the general feel of the reception area was warm; not to mention beautiful.

As lovely as a reception area is, it’s the room that’s important to us, so we checked in and headed straight to our room. We had high expectations after their Amsterdam location (which we were very impressed with) and happily those expectations were met as soon as we walked in to our room.

There are three room types in Mövenpick Paris; Classic, Standard and a Junior Suite. We were in the Junior Suite. The suite was amazing, very roomy, which is perfect for a couple who travel together 24/7 (read “We need some space every now and then”). Having 50 sqm of space means a lot to a couple who live in each other’s pockets every day. The separate bedroom and living area was perfect. The bathroom was very nice with a big deep bath, which is a must in my books.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable; a recipe for a good nights sleep. The good night sleep was also helped by the sound proofing – Not a whisper of sound to be heard. It was a little warm while we were there so the climate control came in very handy.

We didn’t have one, but some of the rooms have Eiffel Tower views! How romantic would that be; having room service and a bottle of Champaign while looking out at the Eiffel Tower! Make sure you ask for a room with a view when you book in!

A good restaurant can be all it takes for a hotel to go from ‘good’ to ‘excellent’. Mövenpick are Swiss and the Swiss know how to put on a good spread! Breakfast was buffet style and covered everything from cereal, fruit, yogurt, deli meats, cheese, hot foods and of course, my favorite, pastries.

For dinner, the Victor Hugo restaurant serves wonderful French cuisine. In winter they have the fireplace going to create the perfect atmosphere.

If you prefer something international, 58 Bar is the perfect place to dine. It is also the place you will want to visit if you are a fan of cocktails – Very tasty!

I cover this is every review I do because it’s most important for a digital nomad – WiFi. Mövenpick Paris did not disappoint with a consistent and fast connection. We had to upload photos and had no issues with speed and disconnections – Love that!

There is a really good fitness room in the hotel, which would have been great to use to work off all the pastries I ate. But I was too busy for the gym… To busy eating!

As I mentioned earlier, Mövenpick Paris is located in the super posh are of Neuilly. It’s a gorgeous area and every night we were there, we had a wander around after dinner just taking it all in. There is a subway station no more than 5 minutes walk away. Or, if you are feeling fit (like we did, surprisingly) it will take you around 15 minutes to walk to the to the magnificent Champs Elysees. It’s very easy to get around Paris via the subway, so within a 5 minute walk you can get to anywhere you want to go.

We really love the customer care you get at Mövenpick Hotels and will definitely stay with them again.
