Being a permanent nomad brings you many joys. You travel the world; You meet amazing like-minded people; You can go wherever you want, whenever you want.
For me, the best part about being a nomad is the exhilarating feeling of freedom it grants you.
Freedom for me means several things; No more ‘working for the man’; Not having to set an alarm each morning; Being able to have one of those days where you accomplish nothing and not feel guilty over it; And to have no solid plans in place, just the ability to come and go as you please.
For the last 12 months I haven’t had anyone tell me where I need to be, what I need to do, what I should wear, what I need to say… I have done as I’ve wanted, gone where I’ve wanted, seen whom I’ve wanted… And have worn grubby un-ironed clothing and not give a shit!
We have no rules, no restrictions, no time limits. God, that’s the best feeling in the world! It’s exhilarating!
Having the freedom to do what you want with your life is how we are supposed to live. But we get caught up in another way of life and become trapped. To break out of that trap has been the most empowering move of my life.
What does freedom mean to you?
